英語で反対意見を伝える言い方・フレーズ集(ビジネス会議編)

会議で相手の意見に反対するとき、英語では日本語以上に「和らげる言い方」が好まれます。実際、224名の現役エンジニアを対象にした実態調査(Changpueng & Pattanapichet, 2023)でも、73.7%が "I'm not sure ___" を反対を示す表現として選んでおり、直接的な "I disagree" はほとんど使われていないことが分かっています。このページでは、より明確に「反対」の意思を伝えたい場面、つまり反論するときにも使えるフレーズに絞っています。

似た表現に「I don't think ___」がありますが、こちらはやや違うニュアンス(反対というより婉曲的に意見を和らげる表現)で使われることが多く、[婉曲的に和らげる]で別途扱っています。
